Master Blasters 2020/21

Master Blasters is a super fun, social, safe, cricket program for boys and girls aged 7 to 10.  The program is much shorter than traditional cricket, with a maximum of 90 minutes playing time.  All the equipment is supplied, and the games take place at the same venue each week.

To participate in the program, children should be able to bowl with a straight arm and hit a moving ball.  Ideally, participants will have completed two years of Junior Blasters prior to commencing Master Blasters, however, children who have developed basic cricket skills are also suitable for the program.

Teams are nominally six per side, however there is some flexibility with this in this introductory program.

Registrations are done on-line through the Play Cricket Website.  It costs $120 to register for the program and an Elsternwick playing shirt and cap is provided free with each new registration.

The Elsternwick program runs out of Brighton Beach Oval and consists of a minimum of ten 90-minute sessions held on Saturday mornings during the summer school terms.  The program is run by an experienced senior cricketer and parents are encouraged to assist with activities and join in the fun.

This season, the early sessions will be held at Dendy Park due to the unavailability of Brighton Beach Oval which is currently being re-turfed.  The games will be played at the south (Cummins Road) end of the park.  Parents should enter via Dendy Street and follow the road around to the bowling club for best parking.
