The Club is excited to announce that it has committed to the purchase and import of a new ride-on roller. The Poweroll 15 (pictured above) is a modern and sophisticated ride-on model, which is used by many senior clubs in Australia. Former ECC player Kevin Lanigan uses this model roller at Maffra CC and produced a magnificent wicket for our practice match last September.
A deposit has been paid and delivery of the roller is expected in late August this year in readiness for the 2019/20 season. We will use the roller in the preparation of the centre wicket on the newly redeveloped main oval. The combination of a new wicket table, more efficient curating and top-grade roller should result in a major improvement to the playing conditions at the Club. The purchase of the Poweroll 15 will enable the Club to produce quality wickets that complement the magnificent oval surface, change rooms and social room. In turn, having high-class facilities will help the Club attract and retain quality players.
The total cost of the project, including importation and transport is approximately $25,000. The Club has established the “ECC Ride On Roller Project” under its registration with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF).
This means that donations to the project are tax deductible.
If donations are paid prior to 30 June 2019, donors will receive their tax benefit as soon as July 2019 when they lodge their income tax return or make their reduced tax payment for the 2019 year. For examples of the tax benefit available, depending on your individual marginal tax rate (including Medicare levy), please refer to the table below.
The Club will gratefully acknowledge donations of any amount. However, donations of $2,000 and upwards will result in the donor achieving special recognition through the Wickas. As a result, we suggest making your donation anonymous on the ASF website by ticking the appropriate box. Please indicate your interest as soon as possible and we can discuss the details.
